Oakwood Rehabilitation &
Nursing Center Receives 2008 AHCA Step I Quality Award!
Webster, Massachusetts (July 2008) - Kindred
Healthcare, Inc. announces that 50 of its nursing centers have
been named recipients of the 2008 American Health Care
Association (“AHCA”) Step I Quality Award for demonstrating a
strong commitment to quality improvement. Of the 50 Kindred
Nursing Centers to be awarded this prestigious award, 15 of
them were in Massachusetts with 2 being in Central
Massachusetts- Oakwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in
Webster, and Westborough Healthcare.There
are approximately 16,000 nursing centers in the United States.
There were a total of 523 applications for the 2008 Quality
Awards and 313 long-term care facilities were named as
recipients. Kindred Healthcare earned the largest number of
Quality Awards of any nursing home company in the country.
The following Massachusetts Kindred Healthcare nursing
centers received the AHCA Quality Award:
Avery Manor, Braintree Manor Rehabilitation & Nursing Center,
Brigham Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Country Gardens
Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation, Crawford Skilled Nursing &
Rehab Center, Forestview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center,
Franklin Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Hammersmith
House Nursing Care Center, Harborlights Rehabilitation &
Nursing Center, Highgate Manor Center for Health &
Rehabilitation, Hillcrest Nursing Center,
Oakwood Rehabilitation & Nursing Center,
Presentation Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, River Terrace
Healthcare, Westborough Health Care Center
